about

Jennifer Linton's artistic work is rooted in weaving which evolved into an art practice with fiber as the textural medium. What started as functional craft moved to an artistic practice that explores themes of interconnectedness, the natural world, and systems thinking. Her practice morphs various techniques that bind fiber in increasingly unique methodologies. Abstraction of elements from a plethora of origins, often flora and fauna, challenge us to see the world as fundamentally and crucially formed of natural elements, uniting building blocks that are shared among all living things. Viewers may garner new appreciation for this when elements are abstracted at macro or micro levels forcing renewed consideration in works that often have deep hidden meaning.
